Taipei Pack 2009  

A total of 154 exhibitors participated in Taipei Pack 2009 with 424 booths. The venue was divided into the Packing Machinery Area and the Packing Materials Area. Large firms at the venue included Jaw Feng Machinery, Tian Cherng Packing Machinery, Promarks Vac, Sinlon Package Machine, Ever Roll Machinery, Joiepack Industrial, Chung Shan Machinery Works, and Y-Fang Sealing Machine. Foreign buyers highly praised this event. A group of Mongolian visitors invited by the TAITRA office in Ulan Bator in Mongolia stated that they were greatly interested in dairy packaging machines.

In particular, Mr. Batjargal Battuvshin from Kailas praised the flexibility and diversity of the food packaging machines in Taiwan. Doubtlessly, his participation in face-to-face exchanges between firms should help to advance business liaisons between Taiwan and Mongolia.

As signs of an economic recovery are sprouting up worldwide, the sales growth in the food industry appears even more impressive. At this event TAITRA organized 1,143 one-on-one procurement meetings that drew 106 foreign buyers and 235 domestic firms. The result was procurement contracts worth a total of US$42 million, a projected US$75 million increase on the previous year.
