Shanghai, 13h July 2010 - China International Exhibitions, the organiser of ProPak and China BevTek 2010 report a 13% increase in space sold over last year’s exhibition. Taking the combined event to a record size including 503 exhibiting companies from 19 countries. The 16th edition of ProPak China, for processing and packaging technology and the 3rd edition of China BevTek, for brewing, beverage and liquid engineering, will take place from 14-16 July 2010 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong. Companies at the show will offer technology solutions, for all industry’s processing, packaging and liquid technology requirements.
Vicky Leung, Assistant Sales Director for ProPak stated “We have many more companies join the show this year offering new processing and packaging solutions for the fast growing liquid product market, particularly technology used in packaging of fruit juices, mineral water and beverages”. “Processing and packaging technology for dry goods manufacturing including snack food and pharmaceuticals has also seen significant growth ”. Ms Leung added, “ProPak is the only exhibition for this industry in China that has support of international packaging associations and their member companies from Germany; Italy; Japan,; Korea; Taiwan Region; UK and North America”. “The annual growth of ProPak China, attracting more companies every year, will again this year, offer the widest range of international and Chinese made processing, packaging and end line printing technology of any event worldwide”.
Producers from China and overseas of food, beverages, dairy, confectionary/ snacks, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, FMCG goods, electronics and industrial manufacturing will all benefit from a visit to this fair. A total of 14,046 visitors attended ProPak China 2009 and of this number 11% came from outside China. The organiser reports that pre-registration of visitors wishing to attend this year’s exhibition is 19% higher than last year. While a survey of these pre-registered visitors reveals their objectives for visiting ProPak and China BevTek 2011 are as follows:
· 20% are attending to source imported technology.
· 37% are attending to source Chinese made technology.
· 30% are planning to purchase machinery within the next 12 months.
Overseas buyers who have registered to attend ProPak and China BevTek 2011 come from 28 countries including individual visitors and company delegations. Top international brands visiting the show from overseas include F&N Dairies, Thailand; Emerson, USA; SAB Miller, South Africa; Al Bandariyah Dairy, Saudi Arabia; Natural Fruits and Drinks, Singapore; Yoki Alimentos , Brazil; Eunice, Philippines; Kadyco, Egypt and many more seeking innovations and solutions for processing and packaging.
Chinese mainland visitors attend from all over the country including provincial delegations from Beijing; Heilongjiang; Guangdong; Jiangsu; Zhejiang; Sichuan; and Yunan. While plant engineers, factory managers and senior management from leading China based companies who have registered to visit include Coca Cola; White Cat; Braun; Pepsico; Shanghai Maling; Bright Dairy; Dior; L’Oreal; Tsingtao Brewery; Unilever; Johnson and Johnson; Wahaha and more.
This year, ProPak China and China BevTek will play host to a range of industry conferences covering pharmaceuticals organised by the Shanghai Food & Drug Administration; beverage industry by the Shanghai Beverage Association; Food logistics by China Food Industry Association. For the third year running the China Food Industry Association, Brewing Committee have selected China BevTek to host their Annual General Meeting and Brewing Technology forum alongside this exhibition. Also returning this year are the Ringier Packaging Technology Innovation Awards 2010. Recognising the best of packaging in China.

Admission policy
Admission to ProPak and China BevTek 2010 will be granted to trade and business visitors only. No person under the age of 18 years will be admitted. All visitors must be properly attired and present business cards when requested to by the organiser and their representatives.
